LONG ILLNESS ENDED

Mrs. Wm. Bougeno Succumbs After Much Suffering.

Was Born in France, but Lived in Paducah for Many Years.

Mrs. Hortense Bougeno, wife of Mr. Wm. Bougeno, age 65 years, died at her residence on South Third street, near the St. Nicholas hotel this morning at 11:55, after an illness of one year of Bright's disease.

Mrs. Bougeno was born in France and came to America at the age of 19 years and settled in Paducah where she has lived ever since. She married Mr. Bougeno here several years after and leaves besides a husband the following children, all of the city: Mrs. G. English, Mrs. E.D. Thurman, wife of the proprietor of the St. Nicholas hotel, Mrs. E. Kruger and Messrs. John and Henry Bougeno.

The deceased was a Catholic but joined the First Baptist church soon after coming to the United States. She has been a diligent worker in the religious cause all her life and with her death, the church loses one of its most faithful members. Mrs. Bougeno had been in failing health for three years but had not been confined to her bed up until the last year.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. Rev. G.W. Perryman officiating, interment at Oak Grove.
